WebGL Runtime Engineer

Build and maintain the cross-platform WebGL runtime that powers our game projects in the browser.

Responsibilities:

  • develop WebGL rendering runtime features for desktop, mobile, and tablet browsers;
  • optimize draw calls, texture usage, batching, memory pressure, and frame stability;
  • work with asset loading, caching, canvas rendering, and runtime diagnostics;
  • keep runtime code predictable, profiled, documented, and covered by focused tests.

Requirements:

  • commercial experience with TypeScript and browser graphics APIs;
  • strong understanding of rendering pipelines, GPU constraints, and performance debugging;
  • ability to reason about frame time, memory, async loading, and cross-device behavior;
  • pragmatic engineering habits: simple contracts, measured optimization, and clear tradeoffs.

Nice to have:

  • experience with WebGL 1/2, PixiJS, Three.js, custom renderers, or game engines;
  • experience shipping interactive products on low-end mobile devices;
  • interest in production tooling for artists, animators, and game teams.
