WebGL Runtime Engineer
Build and maintain the cross-platform WebGL runtime that powers our game projects in the browser.
Responsibilities:
- develop WebGL rendering runtime features for desktop, mobile, and tablet browsers;
- optimize draw calls, texture usage, batching, memory pressure, and frame stability;
- work with asset loading, caching, canvas rendering, and runtime diagnostics;
- keep runtime code predictable, profiled, documented, and covered by focused tests.
Requirements:
- commercial experience with TypeScript and browser graphics APIs;
- strong understanding of rendering pipelines, GPU constraints, and performance debugging;
- ability to reason about frame time, memory, async loading, and cross-device behavior;
- pragmatic engineering habits: simple contracts, measured optimization, and clear tradeoffs.
Nice to have:
- experience with WebGL 1/2, PixiJS, Three.js, custom renderers, or game engines;
- experience shipping interactive products on low-end mobile devices;
- interest in production tooling for artists, animators, and game teams.
