Platform Backend Engineer
Design backend services that support asset storage, project data, production monitoring, and team workflows.
Responsibilities:
- build APIs for projects, assets, editor state, user input, metrics, and production data;
- design data models that stay stable as tools and runtime features evolve;
- support background processing, import jobs, validation queues, and audit trails;
- collaborate with frontend and runtime engineers on clear, product-ready contracts.
Requirements:
- commercial backend experience with APIs, databases, queues, and service boundaries;
- ability to design simple systems before adding distributed complexity;
- strong testing, logging, migration, and operational support habits;
- comfort working with product requirements that touch multiple engineering areas.
Nice to have:
- experience with asset pipelines, content management, telemetry, or internal platforms;
- experience with Docker, CI/CD, Linux, and cloud deployment workflows;
- interest in developer experience and production tooling.
