Animation Tools Engineer

Build animation timeline, playback, preview, and debugging tools for browser-native production pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • develop timeline, keyframe, rig preview, and animation state tooling;
  • improve playback controls, scrubbing, selection, bone lists, and debug overlays;
  • connect editor data models with runtime animation behavior;
  • work closely with artists and engineers to remove friction from animation workflows.

Requirements:

  • experience building interactive frontend tools or runtime-facing production systems;
  • understanding of animation concepts such as timelines, states, transforms, and interpolation;
  • strong TypeScript skills and comfort with event-heavy UI;
  • ability to keep tool logic explicit, testable, and stable under real production data.

Nice to have:

  • experience with skeletal animation, sprite animation, Spine, DragonBones, or game editors;
  • experience with visual regression, playback testing, or asset validation;
  • basic understanding of graphics pipelines and runtime performance.
